Christie’s recent auction Handbags x Hype—which included a vast array of in-demand vintage goods sourced from all eras of Supreme’s storied history, key items being Stern pinball machine, Fender Stratocaster, Spalding basketball, original Supreme magazines, etc.—the sale saw almost 90% of products being sold for far more than expected, resulting in a total of a $2.1 million sale.

Notable sales included the iconic Supreme x Louis Vuitton Malle Courrier 90 case, first estimated to sell for up to $60,000, but eventually hit the hammer at $125,000, a two-piece set of signed KAWS Chum Skateboards ultimately sold for over three times estimate at $32,500, while a singular Supreme x Louis Vuitton skateboard sold for a total of $30,000, far exceeding its $7000 initial estimate, without forgetting the ultra-rare Hermès Matte White Himalayan Niloticus Crocodile Birkin 30 featuring Palladium Hardware, which surpassed its $40,000-$60,000 expectation with a final sale of $125,000.
